120 years of the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin

120 lat Książnicy Pomorskiej

The Stanisław Staszic Pomeranian Library in Szczecin is celebrating its 120th anniversary!

The Pomeranian Library in Szczecin is a unique place—it was the first library to reopen in postwar Szczecin. As the largest library in Western Pomerania, it houses a collection of approximately 1.7 million books, ranging from old prints and manuscripts to modern digital publications.

On the occasion of the anniversary, Łukasz Listwoń, head of the Voivode’s Office, spoke on behalf of Voivode Adam Rudawski to express his appreciation to those who have built and developed this exceptional institution over the years.
