On 15 October 2025, the purchase of scanners under the INTERREG VI A project entitled ‘In terris Gryphi’ was finalised.
The digitisation laboratory has been equipped with three brand-new devices.
The A0 flatbed scanner is the latest model in the METIS DRS-DCS scanner family, designed for the most demanding applications. The scanner is fitted with an innovative digital camera featuring a 16K sensor, enabling all variations of natural lighting to be saved in a single file and the appearance of the image to be altered at a later stage. METIS Photometric Stereo 3D technology allows 3D data to be generated directly from colour 2D data.
The BookTEK 5V1A Professional, meanwhile, is a large-format scanner for demanding digitisation projects, supporting formats larger than DIN A1+ (up to 25 × 36 inches). The device combines high performance with exceptional protection of the scanned materials and is therefore particularly suitable for archives and libraries.

The SCANPRO 3500 microfilm scanner utilises a new, high-performance 26-megapixel camera with a large 6.6-megapixel image sensor. This ensures the highest optical resolution as well as exceptionally clear and sharp images.
