Rostock – Between rows of filing cabinets stretching for meters, historic workshops, and modern scanning technology, there was plenty to discover during our visit to the State Archives in Schwerin.

Our department at the State Office for Road Construction and Transportation not only had the opportunity to tour the old and new archive buildings, but also to take a look behind the scenes. We found the various scanners, the restoration areas for paper and seals, and the question of how administrative documents have changed over the centuries particularly fascinating.

Of course, we also took a closer look at some files from our project archive and examined historical documents related to road construction.
